understanding the process of racial internalization

A one day workshop that will provide a framework for understanding racial internalization

Internalization of racial oppression/ superiority fundamentally shapes the identities of People of Color and Whites in a race-based society. This workshop provides an opportunity to explore this topic in greater depth, and to apply learning to our every day realities.

Join us as we seek answers to:

  • How does internalization happen?
  • Do our respective behaviors reflect the ways we have all been socialized?
  • What happens to our antiracist organizing when we act out of our internalized identities?
